Our next destination was Goa Gajah  which is located at village Bedulu . It is an ancient temple .Goa Gajah means “elephant cave” and the name is derived from lord Ganesha. This temple is dedicated to lord Shiva.

To reach the cave one has to walk down through step ramp. In front of cave there are two ponds with six female statues known as apsaras  pouring water and no one is allowed to take bath in the pond, visitors are allowed to wash hand and face with little water.

Once you enter the cave, on your left side you will find a statue of Ganesha & on the right side there are three stoned shiva lingams covered with different coloured cloths.

When you move ahead and go down towards the river area you will get to see a ruined statue of Budha .As per local people this Budha temple was destroyed by the earthquake.

There is big tree in the premises of the temple which is also a center of attraction for the visitors because of its huge large roots at the bottom of the tree. We captured its beauty and moved ahead to explore the more about the temple.

On the way back we saw that they had stored the ruined parts of the temple. This showed their bhakti towards that temple.
